Woocommerce extension sync never completes

  I have a local installation of WordPress, WPERP and WooCommerce. I installed the WooCommerce extension and followed the docs to sync my current sales. I had one complete sale but when I went to settings and clicked sync, it just has a spinner and tells me not to close the window. I let it go for a few hours and it was still spinning. Am I missing a step?

  error 404 /assets/js/index.js.map not found when I enter the settings page
  500 error: /wp-admin/admin-ajax .php when I attempt to sync WooCommerce to WPERP
