Using the same product key on our test server and main page

Hello,
We recently bought the single-use Recruitment add-on for the WP ERP plugin. I activated the key on our main page because that’s where we want the plugin to eventually live. We have a test server to test new things on that I would like to test the plugin on first to ensure it’s integration to our main site goes smoothly. Is there any way that could be done? I was thinking to deactivate the key on our main page, activate it on the test server, then when it is ready to go live, deactivate the key on the test server and reactivate it on the main site. Would this be possible?
