Fatehpur Sikri is one of the most precious relics of the reign of the Mughals in India. It was the political capital of the Mughal dynasty during the rule of Emperor Akbar. It is said that Akbar built this city to honour the revered saint Sheik Salim Chisti who blessed him with a son, who was to be later known as Jahangir. Fatehpur Sikri is located at a distance of 40 km from Agra. Reach Agra To Fatehpur Sikri is quite easy and takes around 30 to 40 minutes only.
